Call Centre

Postby Kintyre Lad » Sun Apr 17, 2005 5:56 pm

Surprised that this thread isn't booming with excitement about the news that the Call Centre is opening with 120 jobs coming to Campbeltown :!: :!: :?:

Is that because the article in the Courier read quite strange in there was no comment from the owners of the Call Centre Company or is it just that you are all in shock that FINALLY the centre is opening?!!

Please, please, happen!!

Glad to see its goin to happen, this building has been sat empty for far to long. Hopefully this along with the go ahead of the golf couse and the building of the new pool will only be the start of the growth of the toon.

I agree with Ross, it's great news.

All we need now are ferrys loaded with rich tourists arriving in the Loch.

Cheers

Will the female personnel who staff the call centre be call girls?

Call centre

Hi Russ,

August is still being touted as the month by the council, apparently the LEC is now firmly on board.

Thanks for that John,

I reckon a lot of folk have their fingers crossed. Really when you think about it, there has been a reversal of fortune since the shipyard and Woosters and Jaeger closed.

With Vestas, the Call Centre, the general uplift in the town's economy and town centre appearance, and the hint of a ferry even Paddy Wivell would have his work cut out to say things are bad when the town seems to have a spring in it's step.

Cheers,

Russ

Ugadale

Postby Jeanette » Thu Jun 09, 2005 2:27 pm

Anyone,

I heard that Ugadale Hotel has been sold. Is that old news and I have just heard, or another C/town rumour??

Ugadale Hotel

Postby petewick » Thu Jun 09, 2005 2:44 pm

Hello Jeanette,

Heard last week that the Ugadale was bought by the same people who are developing the new golf course.
Bit daft as it's at the opposite end of the bay.
The authenticity of that wee story, I'm not sure.
I do know tht the owner of the hotel is not keeping good health and is probably wanting to sell up and retire.

Regards, Petewick

Keep your eyes peeled, but I don't think you'll be seeing any elephants!
