Kintyre Club Donations Made--New Applications Sought!

Postby mawex » Mon Apr 22, 2013 2:19 pm

A primary goal of The Kintyre Club is to follow in the charitable tradition of the original Kintyre Club, which was in existence from 1825 until 1981. Accordingly, all member dues are used to fund worthy causes in the Kintyre region. Earlier this year we solicited applications for our third round of donations. The directors and officers of The Kintyre Club met in March to review and approve the applications submitted and we are pleased to report that we have made gifts and commitments totaling £3,200 to a number of deserving organizations.

Organizations receiving donations include:
• Network, Carradale
• MOK Run half marathon
• Kintyre Toy Library
• Southend Community Council
• Campbeltown Grammar School(Woodwind Band Trip)
• Campbeltown Grammar School (Gambia Trip)

Cheques were awarded at a special reception to be held in The Kintyre Club at The Ugadale Hotel in Machrihanish on 20 April.

The next scheduled meeting of the Directors to consider applications will take place in June. To apply for a grant, please contact The Kintyre Club care of The Ugadale Hotel, Machrihanish or email Keith Martin at keith@machdunes.com. To be considered for the next scheduled round of donations, all applications must be received by 1 June 2013. Applications for special situations will be considered at other times on an as needed basis.

The Directors and Officers of The Kintyre Club thank our members for their support, which makes these donations possible!

Membership in the Kintyre is available for as little as £10 and includes dining privileges at The Kintyre Club restaurant at The Ugadale Hotel as well as coupon book with £100's of pounds in savings and other benefits. For more information on membership, please call 01586 810 010.
