Jimmy Marshall Trophy - Scottish Amateur Premier League Cup Semi-Final.
A goal in the 88th minute of a hard fought semi-final against Hillington took the game to penalty kicks. Robin Barr had put the Pupils in front as early as the 13th minute, and they stayed in control of their own destiny until two minutes from the end of the match. A goal 'at the death' took the game to penalty kicks, and the local favourites lost the shoot-out lottery by 3 goals to 2.
It was a game dictated by the weather, a stiff breeze and firm surface making control extremely difficult throughout. Nevertheless, both teams stuck to their task and served up a typical cup-tie, a game absent of silky skills, but extremely exciting throughout.
