Holy Moly! It works!

Postby lighterman » Wed Feb 11, 2015 10:53 pm

On Monday 2nd Feb I made a report of dangerous potholes on http://www.fixmystreet.com and within 2 minutes it was notified to the Council.
Five minutes later I got an acknowledgment from the Council by email.
On Saturday 7th (most of) the potholes were fixed.
It turns out that once the Council are notified they are legally obliged to sort it out. Anyhoo - it worked for me.

I have always found the roads dept most helpful. If they don't know of a pothole they won't fix it.

We've always found the Roads Department helpful too, up until now.

I used fixmystreet to notify them of a pothole on the 17th Feb after reading this post, and a neighbour also notified them of it on the 2nd March. I know it has also been notified twice on the Council's own website.

Nothing has been done, which I think is pretty poor.
