Campbeltown Putting Green

Use it or lose it. :(

Might just have to do it myself??

Shame to think that nobody will be able to take that putting green on.

Surely with all the fund raising that goes on in the town , coffee mornings etc some group or organisation could take it on and any profits from the running of this could go towards their own charity.

Maybe they are not allowed to do this.

How much would the council want for the franchise?

Maybe an option would be to forgo the franchise and offer the putting green to various local fund-raising groups in rotation (maybe week about) and if they must have cash to cut the grass just take an agreed percentage from the takings.. If it was successful, funds, volunteers and sponsors permitting, next year there could be a crazy golf course.. :?:

Apparently someone has applied for the franchise only to be told that they need to be cleared by Disclosure Scotland. This can take up to eight weeks.

Putting Green Open

Postby WC1 » Sat Jul 23, 2005 6:01 pm

I see the putting green is open again as of today (Sat. 23rd). Don't know who's the operator as yet but it's definitely up and running.
