WC Predictor 2010 - Local Fundraiser

Postby Kintyre Forum News » Thu May 13, 2010 10:35 pm

A few people have mentioned if the World Cup Predcitor will be on the go again and I just wanted to post that it will and it will be available here for download very soon.

We run one for the 2008 European Championship and had 100 entrants at £10 a go with £500 (50%) going to the kids football and the other £500 going to the winner and runner up (£450 and £50)

So just to let you know it is coming. (I have a few other things to attend to first)

The WC Predictor is now available at the following link

As for the last 3 WC and Euros, it is £10 entry with 50% going to a local charity/group. Most likely sport of some sort but will see. £500 was donated in 2008 to the kids football.

See the link below for the PDF version. If anyone wants an Excel version which updates the tables etc please e-mail us at admin@kinttyreforum.com

Paper versions available in the Commercial and will leave ones in the Burnside over the weekend too!

Just to clarify there were 71 entries the last time with £355.00 going to the kids football. Got mixed up with the donations made by the CTA from the Sevens we organised at the same time. See links below for last couple of predictors.

This year predictor is now available at the following link

Probably cos Kintyre only has one t !

Should Scotland be an Independent country?

Yes, I believe Scotland is a country and should therefore govern itself.
No, Scotland is not a country it is simply part of the UK and should therefore be governed from London.

[quote="Ship called Dignity"]The WC Predictor is now available at the following link

Don't know if anyone was having any problems with the above link but you can find the pdf and Excel versions on the following area

http://www.southkintyresportscouncil.com/wc2010/

If you have Excel it is easier as you can get an idea of how the groups turn out based on your results and who goes to the next stage by entering your guess in the blue area. of course remember you have to enter your guess in the tan area.

Only a couple of days to go and entries must be in before the first game so please hurry if you wish to enter!

I know this is really stupid of me but although I want to take part, I just don't understand what to do :@ Sorry, can anyone explain? The grid thing that is shown is just dead small and I can't read it. Do you enter the score for each match or just the winner? How do I get my £10 to you?

If you use MS Excel (which I have to assume you do in your line of work) then download the Excel version at

http://www.southkintyresportscouncil.com/wc2010/

Enter your guess scores for each of the qualifying games in the tan boxes then guess which teams will progress to the last 16, 8, 4, final and eventual winners.

If you enter the scores in the blue boxes it will actually update the table and put the teams through to the next round in the blue section too automatically which is a help to work things out. But remember your guesses go into the TAN boxes.

Actually is good fun and GG you could give me a hand with the marking!

You can e-mail me your entry to david@campbeltown.info and we can arrange payment.

Davie, sorry but as much as I tried, I couldn't write in these tan boxes. I'm not familiar with Excel at all (I'm always on holiday anyway so am hardly ever at work) and just couldn't get it to work. What am I doing wrong? I sent you an e-mail today but you couldn't have got it. I take it I'm too late now? Do the matches not start tomorrow?
