Peter Van Vossen will be sleeping soundly tonight - can't believe Darcheville missed that chance.  That was where it ended.

Cousin - think he's working his ticket. Noticed at the Falkirk game the other week, he was told to get stripped, and the look on his face said "I'm Daniel Cousin, I don't play against Falkirk on a p1shin wet day, and anyway I can't be @rsed" The handily timed - my team-mates are all alkies - interview is obvioulsy clearly designed to speed up his exit in January. It beggars belief, you would have thought he'd have been bustin his @rse to make an impression (if he was trying to get a move) especially when the stage is the Champions League :!: :!:

Darchvillie to be fair didnt know much about it

If cousin was working his ticket, he would have burst a gut. Even Boumsong did...appart from the Auxere game where he sold us down the river.

Send him to Middlesboro what Rangers need is a midfielder who can drive us on. I'm afraid Barry just doesn't do it. Missed out big time on Scott Broooooon.

Aye, we did miss out on scott broon9 but im sure for the money he went for we could pick up a midfielder with the same ability for half of that, albeit with proper use of our scouting system

Thats a bit harsh! Ive never been Barrys biggest fan since he returned but he has performed well this season and was by far our best player against Lyon. He is the only player in that team who can pass a ball and doesnt panic unlike a lot who were out of their depth, Kevin Thomson, Steven Whittaker, Hemdani (who was mince), Cousin, Papac etc.

Lets face it, we actually did well if u consider only 10 months ago we were getting pumped every week in Scotland, so to come this far is some acheivment especially on our budget. Teams like Shaktar Donestk and CSKA Mocow have spent nearly £80million between them on players over the last year, and they both got put right out!

Brown is a decent player but has also looked out of depth in the Champions League, hes still young though. He wouldnt have been the answer on wednesday. Maldini, Makalele, Zidane, Cristiano Ronaldo and Van Nistlerooy might have made the difference, not Scott Brown.

Anyway, we were beaten by a team who have been in the quarter finals the last 4 years, no shame in that.

Darche is still a numpty though!!

I actually thought that Whittaker (obvious mistake aside, but he did make amends for it) was one of the best Rangers players on Wednesday night?

The Old Firm have done incredibly well to get to the last 16 for the last 3 years running, as Sentrano says, compared to the money that's been spent by some clubs.

The best potential 'lower key' player I've seen this year has been Cardozo at Benfica - he's been quite sensational.

Lyon had Benzema and Ben Arfa up front, and Rangers had Ben Lomond!

is that a euphemism for being really pish
one point from three games is all they needed.

And as for oscar cardozo if you mean lower key, as in only the horse has heard of him before, then thats fair enough, but he still cost benfica 10m euros

..... and €10m is absolutely nothing for someone who can regularly score goals at CL level!

Spoke to a couple of Benfica fans after the game at Parkhead, they reckoned he'd be there another 18 months (max) before somewhere BIG. He appears to well equipped to cope with European football, compared to some the higher profile signings from South America who have not had the impact that was expected.

But it's also another example of a club spending £6.5m on a striker for the CL - unfortunately you can't see the Old Firm doing that, and it's clubs like Benfica who they are competing against for these types of players :(

"Freddy Adu to name dos"

hahaha! Couldn't kick his own arse against the Sellick.

^^^ Sentrano Barry is pish. A big game player? I don't think so. One absolutely great game against Sellick this season and everyone wants to kick his feet. He shouldn't be bothering dropping deep to get the ball thats what the great great marvellous wonderful Kevin "I could play hoora good for Hibs but now I get big bucks at Rangers I don't need to bother" Thomson should be doing but I've yet to see him put in a good shift. Surely there is some young fla out there that wants to take it by the scruff of the neck for Rangers? Can we not go to Ghana and pick up some powerhouse because they produce plenty of cracking midfielders e.g. Muntari, Essien, Appiah. Yet we get Kevin Thomson. Where are the hidden gems of the past such as Claudio Reyna? And Christ on a bike when is Tommy Buffel ever going to get a game. He's got more guile in his play than any player on the park for Rangers, even more than Alan "since I was compared to Cafu I've been absolutely dogs bollocks, now hurry up and sign me some English team" Hutton.

And another thing Thomson plus Whittaker = 4million which I would rather have spent on Brown.
