Ags, I was pushing it to a young woman in Asda the other day, she was dithering, so I made her mind up for her, so I really hope she likes it!

Have finished "Night song of the last tram",the first of Robert Douglas's trilogy of autobiographies.Much more enjoyable than "Whose turn for the stairs?"
Have now started the second "Somewhere to lay my head " which promises to be even better.

I`ve just finished Have You Seen Her?, by Karen Rose, very good, but hers usually are. I`m now reading The Killing Place, by Tess Gerritsen, great so far, but then I always enjoy the Rizzoli and Isles stories.

I have just recently read two James Patterson books, the first two of his Womans murder club series (Ist to Die and 2nd Chance) and I thoroughly enjoyed them! Great read, and kept me gripped from the beginning. Shamed to admit its the first book I've actually finished since I left school 3 years ago. But I am determined to finish all of this series.

I think you`ll love `em all Jennifer, can`t remember if there are 8 or 9 so far. Then after those you can start on his Alex Cross books!

I bought the 3rd one today, and can't wait to get started on it. There are 9 so far, with the next one due out in May sometime. Might manage to read them all by then?

Getting through these Robert Douglas autobiographies.Somewhere to lay my Head started out very promising, but I found it went downhill once he started his national service.
The third, and last,in the series At her Majesty's Service will hopefully be more interesting.By now he is starting his career as a prison officer.

I enjoyed The Killing Place, am now reading The Violet Hour, by Richard Montanari, too soon yet to give an opinion.

At her Majesty's Service, the third and last in Robert Douglas's trilogy of autobiographies is certainly an interesting read. His 16 years as a prison officer gives a great insight into life inside in days past.

The SIXTH book from J.A.Kerley,"Little girls Lost",once again has Mobile homicide detective Carson Ryder at the center of the action. As always a great page turner from Kerley.

The Violet Hour was OK, once it got going, but it took longer to grip me than the other books I`ve read by Richard Montenari. Have since read The Redbreast, by Jo Nesbo, loved it, and am now reading another Nesbo book, Nemesis. I`m starting to get hooked on this writer.

The Dying Hour from Rick Mofina has rookie reporter Jason Wade from the Seattle Mirror on the trail of a serial killer. The deranged killer believes himself to be a 16th century executioner, and tortures his female victims to confess to being witches before they meet their grisly death.

All the Dead Voices from Declan Hughes once again has private eye Ed Loy on the streets of Dublin.Employed to investigate the murder of a man fifteen years previous, Ed Loy's investigations lead him into the world of the para military
drug dealing scum of modern day Ireland.

Loved Nemesis, have just started on The Redeemer, also by Jo Nesbo, I`ve read the next one in the sequence, The Snowman, so will now have to wait a while for The Leopard to go paperback.

The Redeemer was brilliant, now for a long wait for his latest book. Have since read Accused, by Mark Gimenez, good legal drama, and am now in the middle of The Stonehenge Legacy, the first book by Sam Christer. Very reminiscent of Dan Brown, but as I like Dan Brown, that`s not a problem!

Chocolate and Cuckoo Clocks: The Essential Alan Coren.Really good insight in to the mind of a very clever and talented writer with a razor sharp wit.Only a third of the way in to it,really enjoying it.
