I was looking forward to CH5's first installment of their "Jack Taylor" series, adapted from Ken Bruen's terrific books.

I thought the show was a fairly accurate (70%) adaptation. Having read most of the "Taylor" series ,I was more than happy with Iain Glen's portrayal as Taylor .Looking forward to the next four in the series.

Hope you enjoy it NP.

I can strongly recommend all of Bruen's books, including the Inspector Brant series.

Two of Bruen's books have been made into films. There was "Blitz "starring Jason Statham. Also "London Boulevard "starring Colin Farrell,Keira Knightley and Ray Winstone.

Ken Bruen`s not an author I`ve ever come across, will have to keep a lookout. For the first half of Jack Taylor, I was in two minds as to whether to switch off, wasn`t really enjoying it at all, then suddenly it all clicked into place and I ended up liking it. Looking forward to next week`s now.
