It's not really my thing, I'd be too scared if I got one that I wouldn't like it a few years later. I'll stick to the piercings, even though I only have three now.

Your daughter's very talented, Bobby! Beautiful work :)
I have 2...a small purple rose-on-a-vine that I had done about 25 yrs ago (& would love to have re-touched eventually) & another larger one of a lotus flower that's only about 2 years old (the colors are beautiful in that one).
For me, the process was very tolerable, a little uncomfortable at times maybe, but not painful. I know it varies from person to person in terms of pain threshold, where on your body you get one, how elaborate it is &/or how long it takes per session. My little rose (about 1" x 2") took about 30 mins max & my lotus (about 4"x 4") took about 1.5 hrs.
I'm pro-tattoos (piercings, too) & would love to get another, simply because I find it thrilling, but I think you either have a couple/few or you go all the way with a full sleeve/area/body, no in between. Imho, there's a point in between where it can look too busy & tacky(no comments from the 'non-believers' here :| )...so if I opt to get anymore than I have, where will I stop??? The 2 I have are in discrete enough areas that I can reveal them or not, in any season. So I think I'll just resist the ink from now on.......maybe
Suppose they held a war and nobody came?

When I started this thread, I wanted to show what my daughter does, but I was thinking that people would post pictures of theirs and surprised no one has. Do you have pics of yours?

Bobbie, I have already sent you pictures of Mr Govangirl's tattoos - were they not eye-popping enough for you?????? :<>

But okay hen, I'll also put in a photo of my own. This is me and my tattoos. I'm getting my back done when I go up in the Summer by two nice gentlemen tattoo artists.

geeeee oddddd!

Govan, that was such a lovely picture of Mr. Govan... the good thing about that one is, when the time comes you can make a lampshade out of it and not even have to worry about a pull chain. Oh, and your tattoos are lovely too

Scary!

  That's a helluva size for a pull chain!

Seriously, I have got the lowest pain threshold of anyone I know and I don't believe anyone who says tattoos don't hurt. Surely it must be really painful?
