Pods dont really like alcohol, ive now killed two 30g ones by spilling the drink on them. What a pleb.
Ive heard though thats its possible to save the music by changing the hard drive over to another pod, does anyone know if there is truth to this rumour?

I don't know Juan, but its possible if the hard drive is not soaked. I would take it apart and let it dry out for a week then put it back together and try it. I've soaked a few phones in my time and this usual works. ( just remember where all the screws and pieces go )

The hard drive in an iPod is just a standard PCMCIA drive and once you've got it out there's every chance you could simply insert it into the PCMCIA slot on a laptop and read the files off of it. Don't you have them backed-up on your iTunes library though? Some good tips on taking an iPod apart here: http://www.chipmunk.nl/iPod/

Don't know if this is any use but when it happened to my friend, he contacted Apple and didn't mention anything about it getting wet. Even though the warranty was up, they replaced it free! So try goinginto an Apple store.

Nah, bought this one second hand so no warranty. Think I might buy another one and send it back to my dad.

Horse - If you iPod's anything like me, I think your tea's out! Every time I've ever been immersed in alcohol for a period of time, my memory's always totally wiped afterwards.
