you canna beat the boys fae the village for talking sh!te, maist of it good, some of it bad, a good sprinklin of ah right, it'll dae to be gettin on wae, but sh!te ah the same, same smell, different subject.

poor white settler, they mean no harm, it's the way they were brought up, some of them may well have even been born in the summer hoose so you can understand their feelings towards visitors, nevermind, once you've been there for, what is it now? it's come down a bit, 30yrs is it? well once you've been there for 30 yrs they'll think of you as a low toonie, then it's only a matter of a generation or two before your accepted as one of their own.

i used to joke that i didn't need a passport to get into carradale, maybe seeing the way they treat someone who will hopefully add to the chances of keeping the post office open (you being retired you'll need to go for a stamp every other day, won't you?) i might just have to get one, but i hear you never go back, theres another thread where i realised it's 26 years since i made what you would call an appearance in the village, no not a spectacle, old joke, but i think of the dear green place every day and my freen iain fae tesco keeps me up to date with the goings on and the rangers too,

a wee tip for you, if you go into the local bar, don't go throwing your car keys on the counter, you might end up going home with the wrong wife!!!!!

we are thinking on getting a "friends of carradale village" commitee which wouldstop any inapropriate building work being done as we notice there are several strange structures which must have been erected without planning or any thought to the local environment or aesthetic appearance.
we could also campain to have inapropriatly parked vehicles removed to the carpark instead of cluttering up the quay head and bus turning area.

we are looking at hiring the hall which we note is a tad expensive but probably nescessary to keep it in good shape and not be spoiled by inapropriate use.

there are also some gardens with unpainted greenhouses which do spoil the architechtrural hodgepodge on the sea side of the hotel,(bungaloes in among 3 story houses??) we think this needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.
we wont mention the social housing near the school as in our experience, nothing can be done without it costing the taxpayer more money.
but certain standards for the nice parts of the village would surely encourage the "other" residents to keep their area in better shape, ie: we should show a better example.

WhiteSettler: You should take a little more water with it. You're clearly not used to the local fire-water, as the sliding standard of your grammar and spelling doth demonstrate.

see you've reached the same conclusion as me? he hasn't the attention span to keep up his masquerade, and i don't mean the old richard jobson/stewart adamson skids classic.

always happens when someone tries to write in the style that they would imagine someone speaking, they always catch themselves out eventually

lol, May Contain Nuts.. I was counting the spelling errors also, and I'm always fascinated by "we." When not identified, "we" can mean "me and my imaginery friend," or it can mean "20 of the most upstanding citizens of the community and I."
Some people die at 21 but aren't buried until they are 65.

WE thought that too

WE is a royal WE, and it includes my imaginary friends, i don't have any real flesh and blood friends, made up ones are much less demanding, oh and they think i'm hilarious too, which helps.

whats that? sorry, they want me to go and play with them, something about next season starts here and i'm playing up front, hope i can fit it in, what with being starting reciever for the redskins and that world tour of stadiums after the summer festival season, but hey, we managed to get the rolling stones and paul Mccartney to open for us, so that should be a laugh!!!!

better go, thats alex salmond on the phone again!!!!!

WE are just back from a visit to civilization, it makes you wonder why people live away in the wilds in places like this but i suppose the view is the attraction, we do miss M&S and sainsburys though, the local tesco isn't quite in the same league and it's so difficult to get decent clothes here, has anybody any advice?

as to my spelling it is just a combination of poor eyesite and a sticky keyboard, i dont suppose theres anywhere i can get a new one of those here either?

Are these two facts related to the sort of websites you've been surfing, I wonder?
