Away with yer nonsense Sanyanya. Sounds like the pot calling the kettle bleck. Yer trying to exude an air of sophistication aboot yersel, and all this time forgetting that we know all aboot ye. At least Morenish gives the wife and mother & law a lift in his tractor. Your wife looks nearly humpy-backed keeping you in cigarettes and I suspect the same will apply with the bags of whelks!

Sanyanya, ye big reptile ye! So that's what happened to my good jacket.
I didn't mind when the boys up at the Wellpark were using it for a goalpost as the sowels had nothing to call their own at that point. Of course once Abramovich made it know that he wanted to use CAFC as a feeder club for all his pampered gorfoons it got flung aside for new goal nets, but at least I thought I knew where to find it. Now it could be anywhere between Crossaig and Albania it would seem. You might as well keep it now - I can't stand the smell of tobacco (and that's without a nose!) but watch your back wide (and getting wider) boy.

Yer card's marked and yer tea's oot!

Carradale AFC

Postby GarySutherland » Sun Jul 24, 2005 4:50 pm

Speaking of Carradale AFC, the first match of the newly reformed team is on Wednesday (27 July) at 7:15pm at the meadows, Campbeltown.

So much hard work has gone into getting the club up and running again. It'd be good to see plenty of people along to support them.

The hardy sons that were Ticketty Boo!'s crew had an enjoyable fortnight in Trumton. The weather came out too, but............................ hardly a fish was caught by ourselves or several others from rocks, pier or many boat marks for the five days after I saw the minke whale last weekend.

Is this a coincidence?

ps.................. who can tell me how to add pics here?

Bid You Good Night!

Postby Sanyanya » Mon Jul 25, 2005 12:11 am

Hopefully Bochan Mor & Bubbly Jock will resist the temptation to outbid Gary on Ebay for an old postcard of the herring fleet at rest in Carradale Harbour.

It seems that the card is unusual in that it is currently situated in New Zealand.

Presumably Gary hopes to include it on the Goat Web Page.

Gentlemen, I'll bid you good night!!!!

Greedy Crofters

Postby The Scouder » Mon Jul 25, 2005 7:44 am

The crofters' legendary greed appears to have spread throughout the world. Seems they would prefer a few electric spoots to a nice happy ever after story. Found on a grim American website which obsessively cyber stalks the McCartney family but seemingly first published in the Mail on Sunday, so it must be true!

Fashion designer Stella McCartney has saved multi-millionaire dad Sir Paul a few quid - by offering to pay for her own wedding. Instead of the ex-Beatle coughing up for the ceremony as father of the bride, Stella wants fork out for her big day on the Mull of Kintyre later this month.

Other locations have been looked at but Stella still favors Scotland despite her plans being revealed. Her decision over paying for the day, has fueled speculation of a growing rift between Stella and her dad's pregnant wife, Heather. She has also told her dad that most of his friends will not be invited because she wants a private affair on the beach that was her mother Linda's favorite place. But her plans could be upset after a decision by fishermen in Carradale not to ferry guests to Sadell beach on Kintyre for the wedding.

Stella and husband-to-be Alasdair Willis want to use a luxury yacht for guests before the beach ceremony. They need smaller vessels to ferry guests to the beach where Stella's mum Linda used to ride horses. But six fishing boat crews have already said no to the request, saying they can make more money fishing out of Carradale than they would in a single day ferrying guests to the remote beach, where the video for her dad's hit "Mull of Kintyre" was filmed.

One said, "Nothing has been agreed officially. The fishing boats are out and about for days at a time and to break off from that to provide the transport for one day would be daft. If she wants to have a romantic beach wedding she will have to find another way of getting people to the beach from the yacht, because it isn't worth it for fishermen here to offer their services." Here's how Admin 3 can help you. He certainly helped the old Bochan!

Hi,

A couple of people have pm'd me to ask how you add a picture or image to your signature. I thought it would be easier to post instructions rather than reply to individuals.

The main thing to remember is that you can only add images that appear somewhere on the web. You cannot add an image directly that you have saved on the C drive of your PC.

Like me not everyone has their own web page. The easiest way round this is to register with a site that gives you free webspace such as
http://www.photobucket.com/

When you find an image you want right click your mouse over it and save it to a folder on your PC.

Now register with photobucket. To upload your image click on browse (on the main page) and select your image from wherever you saved it to. At this point you can also add a photograph that you have on your PC. Be aware that there may be a limit to the size of the photo that is allowed. Smaller photos work best and larger ones that have been reduced can look a bit naff. However if you are a bit of a wizz with photograph software like photoshop you may be able to get round this.

When the image/photo has been uploaded it will appear in your online album. There should be three rectangular boxes below it called Url, Tag and Img. Highlight the text in the Img box, right click the mouse and select Copy.

You are now free to paste this in to your signature box in your Profile. It will be easier if you have both pages open at this point.

I know this is a bit long winded but it is probably the easiest way for those who dont have their own webpage. You could paste a link direct to the website that the image you want appears on, thus removing the photobucket step, but whether that works will depend on how the image was uploaded to that site in the first place.

In the same way pictures can be added to the main body of your post and if the moderators allow it your avater (that is an image that appears below your name everytime you post). At the moment this is not enabled.

Good luck,

Any questions please ask._________________
