A General Election has been called for the 5th May 2005.

Applications to be included on the register of electors to be used at the election Friday 11 March (so you are too late if you are not on)

If you don't know already anyone who is on the Electoral Register can now vote by post (you don't need a reason now)

Requests to change/cancel an existing postal/proxy voting arrangement Not later than 5 pm on Tuesday 19 April.
Receipt of new applications to vote by post/proxy Not later than 5 pm on Tuesday 26 April .

Please DO NOT post any politcal propoganda which may be deemed offensive

However, this may be a good one to get people using the board even more! :wink:

There is a difference - that was an all Postal Ballot Election.

Above is merely pointing out you can apply for an absent vote now without reason. Previously you used to have a reason - like you were going for a haircut or something more important! :D

Perhaps we could run an online Poll on here to see who is going to win! :P
