Kintyre Recycling Scheme

Sad to read in the Courier that funding from Argyll Council has stopped and the Kintyre Recycling Doorstep collection could finish in March. Surely it is going to cost the council more to pay for landfill when all the recycling items ends up in the wheelie bins. Interestingly Jura and Islay are going to keep their recycling scheme.

Don't councils have recycling targets to meet, how is this going to be achieved if Kintyre Recycling closes ?
