I loved the dog, also Jonathan and Charlotte, but was really rooting for the Welsh boys choir, I thought they were wonderful.

Forget it Numberplease, the smug old cleverclogs ( ) on here who would never stoop to watch such rubbish on their TV and put down everyone who does will be on here berating you for watching what you want to watch on your own TV!!!!!!
I don't watch any of Cowell's programmes because of the cruel put-downs at the early stages but I had a really bad day yesterday when my clutch went on my car (and I sat waiting for the RAC for hours getting abused by other drivers for being in the way) and all I wanted to do was to sit and relax with a glass (or two) of wine and watch some entertainment on telly I didn't have to think about.
Numberplease, I didn't expect to like any of it but I was blown away by that boys' choir singing that hymn - they made me cry!!!!! If anyone is looking for talent to represent Britain in the Olympics they should look here. It was stunning! And those two opera singing youngsters - Wow! What beautiful voices for 16/17 year-olds! I also thought that The Lovable Rogues were brilliant with their original material. I think it's brilliant that young people were so represented. Yes, the young girl trainer and her cute dog were remarkable but it kind of contradicted the show's title if a dog wins. However, it must have taken that girl years of endless patience to train that dog and it did show the result of love and companionship which is deteriorating today so SHE is the talent and SHE won so actually, Emdee, a dog didn't win, it was a dog act!
I cannot believe I am promoting anything Cowell is involved in but what's wrong with showing the wide range of talent we have in this country? I don't go on to the sport thread and moan at folk who watch football matches on the telly - I choose what to watch as I'm in control of my off switch.

Bluddy rant over!

I loved BGT this year especially with the addition of David Walliams on the panel, and yes I will admit I picked up the phone last night and voted for Pudsey and Ashley. That girl had only a couple of days to teach the dog a new routine which was performed in my view to perfection! The "Only Boys Aloud" male voice choir were magnificent as were the runners up, but that wee dog won me over. Roll on next year....loved it!!! :D
