I obviously don't know how long you've been out there Sweltered but have you yourself kept your Scottish accent? My friend moved to the States when she was 22 and after over 30 years there has a really 'Americanised' Scottish accent.

Still have a bit of an accent, not quite as bad as Sheena Easton, but am sure I sound odd. I find myself saying "twenny, and thirdy" instead of twenty & thirty.
