Beekeepers in Kintyre?

Postby tigger » Fri Dec 28, 2012 9:54 pm

I'm keen to start beekeeping and need a local contact for advice and to supply hardy Kintyre bees.
No joy through the Scottish Beekeepers Association, the nearest branch they have is Oban.
Can anyone help?

Mike Stanesby in Clachan keeps bees and sells honey through Coastal Design in Hall Street. According to the label on the jars he's at The Pheasantry, Clachan, by Tarbert, PA29 6XL. Excellent honey too!
