Using Broadband

I can only encourage anyone in Campbeltown and the surrounding area to get Broadband - it is night and day when looking throught the Internet.

For sites like this it is amazing the difference.

Who all has Broadband and what service do you use and how good is it?

PS - No offence Malky  perhaps we could get a cable all the way from Tayinloan to the toon for you? How far does Broadband reach in Kintye? Campbeltown, what about Machrihanish and Southend? I think it is coming to Carradale...

Rub it in why don't you  :x

At the moment phrases like 'blistering', '40 times faster', 'night and day' are not going down well

Check out http://www.samknows.com for broadband news on all exchanges in the UK by the way :)

Yip im on Broadband and all i can say is its at least 40 times faster which is a blistering pace, not only that you can use it all day and all night..

Does make a big differance when you want to watch video streaming or go online during the day when its busy

Yes, Carradale is expected to be on-line by the end of July and I've a date in early August for BT to come by and connect us.

We have an ISDN2 connection at the moment which at 128kbps is well-down on ADSL but significantly better than a dial-up connection - it also means all of the computers in the house can be connected through the same router.

Just in case anyone's interested, we can provide domain registration and web-hosting for companies looking to establish a web presence.

Cheers
Gary
