I was sent a promotional e-mail today from Prezzo stating that to celebrate Andy's fantastic win, every main meal would come with a free glass of Prosecco today and tomorrow.

In smaller writing, it said that due to licensing laws, Scottish diners could have a free glass of a soft drink. Ah the utter irony!!!! :<>

What part of Scottish law stops you getting free wine? Is it because there is a minimum price?

They probably just don't want you getting out of control and singing The Sash. Sorry, something tells me I've probably just put my hoof in it.

Minimum pricing is not in yet but it might come under the existing law around promotions i.e. no more '3 for 2' etc.
Should Scotland be an Independent country?

Yes, I believe Scotland is a country and should therefore govern itself.
No, Scotland is not a country it is simply part of the UK and should therefore be governed from London.

That explains it then, thanks. What is the general opinion up there of the new laws?
