I was thinking the same, we've had lots of Peacock and Small Tortoiseshell - was going to upload images but can't make heads or tail of photobucket these days :(

I have to agree Rodger re the amount of butterflies this summer. I was up in Kintyre for several weeks in July and they were aplenty. Me and the missus were over on Islay and Jura and there was even more. We thought it was very nice. What a great summer-even better when we decided to not to go abroad during the summer.

Buddleia a weed? The Buddleia that you often see clinging to neglected chimney stacks and old walls (B.DavidIii) can be a pest I admit but to class all Buddleias as weeds is very harsh. Many of the cultivars make wonderful garden plants.Oh all right!!..So it says on Google!
