I'm currently using Firefox http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox

Much faster than Internet Explorer and the tabbed browsing feature is really handy 8) :)
No popups either :D :D

Scotty,

Depends what you mean by secure sites. Certain websites (eg. banks) make use of IE's Active X controls. These sites are written specifically for IE and will not work with any other browser. Any site written to the Web Consortium Standard will work with Firefox.

The only site that doesn't work for me is my bank. I just fire up IE for that. Firefox is improving all the time. It's on version 1.0.3 at the moment.

By the way, the Active X controls in IE are what allows spyware into your machine :? :) :)

I've been using Firefox for about 6 months. It's very similar to Netscape, which I prefered to IE anyway. I started using it because of secutiry concerns about IE. I haven't had any problems accessing bank accounts with Firefox.

I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird for email and like it for the most part. To send BCC you first have to select "send to" and then go to the address bar and change each individual address to "BCC". It would be nice to be able to select the font size from the toolbar.

using firefox and it's a fine browser...

as usual microsoft are behind....seems all too familiar a story...MAC users have been enjoying stuff that has only been promised in Longhorn (new version of windows) not due out until 2006...

As for banks they have some of worst developers and security features known...just ask anyone in your local fraud squad...

I am using Opera, version 7.23 - which I find is ideal. Version 8 is available at:

http://www.opera.com/

It's well worth a try!
