Expressions For Being Drunk?

We've all heard that eskimos/inuits 'apparently' have 57 words for snow - so I was thinking how many words do Scots have for getting drunk?

I'll start the proceeding with my personal favourites of:

* Bleetered
* Mingin
* Ersed
* Horsed

of you go........ :lol:

Absolute quality Mr P, forgot about those :lol: :lol: :lol:

My personal opinion is that you can take any noun, and turn it into and adjective by adding '-ed' to describe being drunk. (a Scottish accent helps, but not compulsory)

Insert the new word into the sentence .....

"I was out last night and got absolutely (insert new word here -ed)" :!:

Try it for yourself - the first 4 random nouns (to enter my head late on a Friday night) are:

* Table
* Laptop
* Penguin
* Banjo

Bearing in mind, at this stage in the proceedings, I'm unlikely to know the difference between a noun, an adjective and a banjo - my theory is therefore open to cross-examination and absolute ridicule ..... :lol: :lol: :lol:
