Don't know if many of you knew but an OysterCatcher recently built its nest on the road wall at the Rocky Burn.
Mary Turner sent me a photo of this - but I didn't want to highlight the story incase anything happened to the nest.
(Sorry if the photo is big - don't have much time)
Needless to say, however, a group of youths were seen a couple of Sundays ago throwing the eggs at the dyke - the person who saw them didn't get there in time and by the time he arrived the eggs were both smashed. They had also left a pile of crisp, sweet papers etc on the road.
As Mary says herself 'What is the world coming to?'
Perhaps one you could pick up Ranald for the Courier?
