Posted: Tue Mar 08, 2005 4:03 pmsince my service provider has not sent me my new modem yet, i assumed that the claims by bt were rubbish, i'll wait till it arrives before i start believing that we've actually got it. till then i'll dial out manually to the alpha site.

Just I was speaking to a couple of lads last week from BT who were working on this project and said there would be a delay for a couple of weeks. Obviously they have managed to get out of the pub and finish it off.
You will no doubt notice the difference is night and day. We have had a dedicated 1MB line at work for a number of years now and looking at the internet a home was a drag! Thank god, at last!
