Some testing required on new Dunaverty Golf Club website

Postby Ship called Dignity » Sun Sep 18, 2005 9:11 pm

Would appreciate your thoughts on a website I have been working on for Dunaverty Golf Club.

http://www.dunavertygolfclub.com

I am going to change some of the images on the gallery and probably add more but that is for another night as I have been up late working on this the last few nights!

Having started the site a couple of monthts ago I finally managed to get a round of golf on Friday morning and take some more photos so let me know what you think, any errors, what you think could be improved etc.

Also, how the images load - if anyone uses dial up etc.

I like the hole by hole pages - was a nice morning for photos! 8)

Contrary to what some people may think building the website doesn't actually take that long. What does, is the design, the photos and the testing etc!

Looks good Davie. :)

One thing though - the gallery takes a couple of minutes to load for me and a little "loading" or "please wait" sign would be helpful.

Some photos of golfers would be nice too, and not just the scenery - or perhaps they're looking for the "look it's deserted, we'll definitely get a game" look :D

Well done Davie an excellent site really good idea of a hole by hole guide to the course.
The images seemed to load quite quickly for me.

Looking forward to playing Dunaverty next Sunday on the Beachcomber day out :D

Perhaps one of the nicest views you will find on a golf course anywhere - with Southend, Mull of Kintyre and Northern Ireland all in view.

http://www.visitkintyre.info/images/test/toon3.htm

It is a rather large photo so be patient it will be displayed eventually.

PS - I wish it was that nice today - it is rather driech day to say the least and I am on holiday!

The rain is off now Davie, you can get away out running in preparation for the Mull of Kintyre/Campbeltown half marathon woof woof

The site looks good to me and loads up fine.....and the hole by hole idea is grand....maybe some folk as Malky said but the scenery says plenty.

And John A, your heading for another golf day out :o

Allow yi allow yi...........

Very nice, Davie. I really must find time to get down to that end of the peninsula sometime soon.

Cheers

Davie, made a grand job of the site, loaded really quickly, some cracking photos.

Had some boys from the work down for a game at the start of the year, for a change weather was'nt the best [ was a blizzard when driving down :!: :!: ] but they all thought the views and course were fantastic, as the did about Machrihanish as well
