Stop 'v' Slow down

A Ned in a Nova runs a stop sign and gets pulled over by a Cop. He thinks he's smarter than the Cop and decides to prove this to himself and have some fun at the same time.

Cop says: "License please."

Ned: "What for?"

Cop: "You didn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign "

Ned: "I slowed down, and no one was coming."

Cop: "You still didn't come to a complete stop. License please."

Ned: "What's the difference?"

Cop: "The difference is you have to come to a complete stop, that's the law. License please!"

Ned: "crap ... if you can show me the difference between slow down and stop, I'll give you my license and you give me the ticket, if not you let me go and no ticket."

Cop says: "Exit your vehicle, sir."

The Ned gets out of his Nova and at this point, the cop takes out his truncheon and starts beating the ever-loving crap out of the Ned and says:


"Do you want me to stop or just slow down?"
