change the + to a 4 so that the equation is:-

545+5=550
or
5+545=550

You are at a river. With you are a Chicken, Bag of Grain, and a Wolf.
You have to cross the river in your canoe but can only take one with you at a time.
You can't leave the chicken with the grain. He'll eat it.
You can't leave the wolf with the chicken. He'll eat it.
How do you get everything over and intact?

Take the chicken over first,go back,take the wolf and bring back the chicken,then leave the chicken were you started and take the grain leaving it with the wolf.Go back and bring the chicken over.

and then fall asleep exhausted and wake up to find no grain,chicken and the wolf eating you!!! :lol:

lol wired. Since no one was going to explain the answer, I looked on the net for the answer to your first question to find out how the answer was arrived at and found the answer because some 4th grader in New Zealand solved it! :oops:

Sheesh.. okay, I'll make myself feel better and think they must have awfully old 4th graders in New Zealand :wink:

Or, better yet, I'm just way to busy and my brain is far too involved in important stuff to concentrate on things that a 4th grader can solve :lol:
