A group of young teenagers were appearing in the Magistrate`s court,charged with various anti-social acts,i.e under age drinking etc.The presiding Magistrate was having difficulty communicating with them as they appeared before him one at a time.They trudged in to court and gave guttural grunts when questioned.One youth was standing in the dock,hands in track suit trouser pockets,chewing gum very loudly with his mouth open.At this point the Magistrate snapped.He jumped to his feet,banged on the desk and shouted."I will not have mastication in my court room!".At this point the youth`s hands flew out of his pockets and he carried on chewing.
