Shows it up for what it is.

For anyone who can't see the obvious, this is a post about how the Express recycles the same old stories over and over.

Maybe it makes sense to you Martin, if so maybe you could explain . It certainly makes no sense to me. I opened the link and all I saw were Express front pages.

This is exactly the kind of thing I have been on about. A cut and paste with no explanation from the poster .

AH ! Now I see at the top...................
"The Daily Express front page recycles the same dozen themes – and sometimes the same stories – over and over. Track them here."
Solution is simple do not buy the Express. Better still do as I do, do not buy any paper. All the news and more is at your fingertips.

I didn't bother to say anything other than what I put as I thought the page was instantly self explanatory. Hmmmm, maybe not.

Ha ha, I love the titles at the top. It's not just the Express though. I never used to buy a 'paper except Saturdays and Sundays but that came to a stop when I realised I could buy a novel for the same price as a newspaper :<>

I still buy the papers but I think their days are just about over. Snag being reading the paper or indeed a book just isnt the same on your phone or tablet, maybe its just me but turning the page is part of it. Of course the fact that I can hardly see the type on the phone or ipad might be a reason. :(

I used to think exactly like that but I use my Kindle and i-Pad for reading fiction 100% of the time now. And as my eyes are failing too Gizmo, I only have to keep making the print bigger! :D

I was having problems with my eyes but when the doc gave me the all clear I forked out for Varifocals. Oh dear God, what an experience that was. I now have three pairs of glasses, one for distance, one for middle and one for close up, couldn't be happier.
Anyway, getting newsprint on your fingers is all part of the paper experience, and as Gizmo said, turning the page. Also doing the crossword. Yes the news is old by the time we get the paper and I only buy one for light entertainment, but each day I do like to look at the various front pages, especially to have a laugh at the Star and Express.

Ha ha Martin, I actually read this morning that folk who do a daily newspaper crossword live longer and are more mentally aware in their old age than those who don't! 8)

"mentally aware" ? Oh well, there has to be an exception to every rule. I like to be different.
