I took my son and Hubby to Saddell Abbey when I was home on holiday in august last year. I noticed from what I could make out of the dates on most of the gravestones that they were babies or in early childhood when they died. Some were siblings dying a few months apart, I just assumed the skull and crossbones meant they died of the plague. We also ventured over to Saddell Bay and Castle, it was just a lovely peaceful time.
