MoK Lighthouse

Did you know that the light was originally revolved by a clockwork motor? It had a weight suspended underneath and worked like a big grandfather clock. I'm told that the lighthouse keeper had to wind it up every half hour through the night!

This is the motor, you can see the shaft for the handle in the top left corner and two holes in the floor (in a brass plate) that the wires for the weight used to pass through.
