The Broo !!!

Postby Annie » Tue Oct 17, 2006 4:39 pm

I remember when we were in Dalintober School we used to get into a lot of trouble with Hector McNeill if we were caught going "up The Broo" either inside or outside of school hours.

I remember many a fine hour being spent up "The Broo," and also up at Bluebell Hill AND when I was a wee bitty older, spending time being chased around THE GIANT'S THUMB!!!

Anywan member that????

Story has it that there were some men gambling at the standing stone way back in the day.
All of a sudden there was a massive earth tremor and the ground opened up.
The Devil appeared in front of the terrified men.
The Devil said to them," yies ur daein fine boys, keep at it."
