Gail,

Totally agree with you. I think that this is a great move forward for the whole health/fitness promotion thing in and around Campbeltown. It says a lot for Trudy and Fiona that they take out a group early on Saturday in the town and then turn out for the Gigha run in the afternoon.

I've always been a bit of a loner on the road, mainly due to family commitments and not liking to be tied down to a particular time/day, and I quite enjoy my own company :?

But the efforts of others are just about getting me round to the benefits of group participation.

......oh yes!--Donald does know what he's on about. I always glean something from him. DJD if you're looking in, good luck in Poland :D

Rabmacd,

Thanks for that. Well done yesterday for your kind self, and also for everyone that did Gigha, not the best conditions for running, but big hearted efforts all round.

Look forward to running with the jog Scotland after Poland.

Gail,

Your enthusiasm is what it is all about.

ALL THE BEST TO YOU DONALD FOR POLAND FROM YOUR JOG SCOTLAND BUDDIES, YOU REALLY ARE A STAR, WHAT A LOVELY TRIP BACK FROM GIGHA WE HAD WITH YOU AND YOUR GEORGEOUS WEE BOYS ON SATURDAY.

GAIL, THANX FOR YOUR KIND WORDS, WE JUST HOPE TO BE THERE TO ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT.

ROBERT, I ALSO LIKE THE LONLINESS AND FREEDOM TO RUN ON MY OWN WHEN I WANT, WELL DONE TO ALL OF YOU WHO LIFTED MEDALS, HECTOR, ROBERT, SID AND TRUDY AND JENNIFER ( I THINK I GAVE UP ON EVER DOING RUNNING AGAIN ABOUT 50 TIMES), BUT THEN I CAME HOME AND REMEMBERED THE SUPPORT I GOT FROM ALL YOU GUYS, EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU ENCOURAGED ME ON THE WAY ROUND, AND THAT REALLY HELPS ME PICK MYSELF UP AND GET INTO THE TRAINING AGAIN.

FOR ME JOGSCOTLAND IS ABOUT DOING THAT FOR OTHER PEOPLE, A WEE WORD OF SUPPORT TO HELP FOLK ALONG CAN SOMETIMES GO A LONG WAY.

SO ILL SEE YOU ALL OUT THERE, GIVE ME A SHOUT AS I PLOD ALONG

Thanks for the best wishes and it was a very nice day out for the boys.

Jog Scotland and the efforts of the lads and girls that ran Gigha was the perfect platform for a good running comumnity from Campbeltown to rise up and establish its self, and you and Trudy will have played a good part in it.

So come on runners more the merrier.

Congratulations to all you runners who ran the Gigha race on Saturday. Every one of you was a WINNER!
I am just sorry I never got to go but as some of you know I got the day mixed up.! I think I was just too excited about my first day out with jog scotland that is took precedence.

I can agree with you rabmacd that I do like to run on my own , it also gives you time for you, but sometimes I need someone to push me a bit further and thats what I enjoy about running with a group. You get so much encouragement and support from others.

Good Luck to Donald in Poland. Look forward to hearing all about it at next Jog Scotland .

Can I just say thanks to Fiona and Joan for the Wednesday night Jogscotland group too. Sorry its taken me to the third week to do it!! I really enjoyed tonight being split into 2 groups. I am not an absolute beginner but don't feel I merit being in the intermediate group so tonight was a good challenge with lots of support. Well done girls - you are doing a grand job. See you next week!
