Just spoke to Kyle at Atlantis Leisure re the races in Oban this year and was asked to post updates here: -

2nd September
5k race

7th October
Half Marathon & 10k

I've just taken a look at the photos of the half marathon route. I recognise much of the route from my travels in that area. It does look a challenging course, but one that I want to experience.

I ran part of the route last week when I was up in Oban and it was undulating, so I know what I would be letting myself in for ..... need to keep up the hill training now!

Excited about the Oban 10k ...that's me just downloaded my entry form to be posted tomorrow.

Iceblue, hopefully we will get more to join us from the Jog Scotland group . 8)

know i wont have time to train but im toying with the idea of doing the 10k - fancy some company pans lass :D

whats the closing date so i know when i have to decide by - dont want to do another islay and have to enter then not go :cry:

I'm pretty sure it will be entry on the day. It always has been in the past.

Great night Caro :wink: :wink: .. still managed to go out for my usual run...think the dancing had me on a high and kept me going next morning. Legs wee bit tired although..I wonder why.

Back to thread ..Oban application sent and look forward to others from Jog Scotland and beyond to join us. :)

Entering races gets addictive, doesn't it :wink:

After all the excitement from running in Glasgow last weekend, I can't wait to do the Oban half now .... only 4 weeks tomorrow :shock:
