Thank you Crowth. Is that the speedboat thingy? If so, I may have to pass, I don`t like being on water, but even more I don`t like the idea of speeding across the stuff!

You're welcome, Number. Being an island, crossing water by some means is
inevitable when travelling to Sanda, unless someone dug a tunnel
without anyone noticing :)

Seriously, I'd urge anyone to try Sanda at least the once.
Remember, a penguin is for life not just for elevenses.

I just want to cross the water in a steady, sedate manner, not whizz across! I`m a nervous old bugger! AND I can`t swim!

Great Pictures!
I have called in the pub for a meal a couple of times over the years (before the new owners) but never walked around the Island.
This time next week I'll be finishing my packing ready to come up there and ,this will be my view of Sanda for the week

Can't wait :D

For all you people who are nervous on the water - I cannot swim and absolutely hate sailing, even on large ferries to the continent. However, when I went on Mike Taylor's rib to Sanda, I could not have felt safer. Whether it's because I was so close to the water, I don't know. My attention was totally taken up with looking at Kintyre from an angle I had not seen before and by birds skimming along the top of the waves beside us. It was just fantastic and I cannot wait to go back.
