A few shots from the beach this morning. I had hopes to catch runners leaping majestically across a burn. Some did, some didn't I'll add the rest of the shots I took to my Photobucket account later, I hoped to photograph everyone who passed me but I'm sure I will have missed one or two. Apologies. If anyone would like me to send a full size picture file to them pm me.

It's Westport beach, Roger. The route takes the runners out of town up Tarbert Road. After a couple of miles they head left at Craigs farm and straight through the Sound of Kintyre. Just before Langa quarry they take another left and get to the beach via the footpath between Machrihanish Dunes golf course and the quarry. When they hit the beach they run north on the sands for about half a mile or so until they U turn and run a reversal of their route back to the road. They then run back through the Sound of Kintyre and just after West Darlochan farm they throw a right onto the Moss Road and pass the airport. At the other end of the Moss Road they turn left and head back into town via Stewarton.
And that's just the first lap

I thought it looked a bit narrow to be the one I was thinking of. I've never been up that direction of the beach cos I'm usually done in by the time I've walked from Machrihanish to the path leading to the dunes golf course.
