Nice sharp photo comparing with the one I took back in 2008, the air quality/camera/settings/etc can make all the difference in looks.See the vast extension to the power station.

Morning,

Yeah Rog, that's the Carra winding along in the foreground.

Actually, when I looked at my photo after I'd put it on the PC, I knew I'd seen one similar somewhere - must have been that your one JD.

I was about to say that it's quite freaky how the pictures are framed exactly the same (if that makes sense). but there are only a few openings on the way up the road that you can get a proper view like that.

As I've always said though, I'm clueless with cameras/settings etc

I've set that photo as the desktop background on my work PC too - doesn't look as good though set like that.

I've ventured on to the wild side and posting a photo I took on Sunday.

Was up at Peninver a wee dander and didn't quite appreciate the view from the wee bridge at Lower Smerby.

Lovely lighting, Ship. I must have been over that bridge at least a dozen times but never thought to stop and look at the view. Thanks for sharing.

If you stay in Carradale you'll have been over it hundreds of times if you come into Campbeltown via the East Road Crowth. Aye, just noticed it myself on the way up and stopped on the way back. Light was good - no mist!

There is another burn or river that flows under the road. The bridge is on a right angle bend by a white cottage.I think that there is a no fishing sign by it.Does anyone know the name of the burn/river?

I think you're talking about the Lussa burn there, Roger, just north of Peninver, near Killkeddan.

I'm sure you wouldn't like it, Roger. The burbling of the burn, the hush of the waves, the breeze in the nearby trees and the constant tranquility would be all too much for you.

Some shots from my walk up Deer Hill at Carradale last Saturday (30th June). The walk took me north along the forestry
road at Moineruadh to the car park near Coronation Wood. The Kintyre Way took me uphill from there for the next mile or
so to meet the Deer Hill path just below the summit. From the trig point there is a path that runs south all the way
down to the forestry road just above the Network Centre. My walk didn't start at the Network Centre, but it is accessible
from there and the car park can be taken advantage of.

Although I wasn't actually following the official Deer Hill Walk, it is very well signposted
