Hi. I'd be grateful if anyone could help with identification... Is it a chiffchaff or a willow warbler? Thanks

Thanks for that, love macro but weather has been so poor this summer that I haven't been out as much as I would have liked. Yes I am a ringer here in Campbeltown and have been ringing for over twenty years and have several long term studies going in the area, including Barn owl population monitoring. Have only gotten into photography fairly recently but would love to achieve the results you are getting with your bird shots, I really love the juv ringed plover.

Perhaps you can help me with this little one, I am not at all sure what it is, and have had different opinions on it...

It's a Twite, a juvenile by the look of it, am noticing several small flocks about at the moment, again cracking shot

Forgive me, it's a juvenile Redpoll, that's what I get for replying at same time as sending an email. Have ringed about 70 of these on my Constant Effort Site at the Aros moss. They appear there at the end of April then move off by end of August, not sure where to but have had a couple of recoverys on the south coast of England over the last couple of years so they may be crossing the channel to somewhere in the continent
