Sunset from Beachmenach

Postby Ship called Dignity » Mon Sep 01, 2008 11:04 pm

Meant to post these some time ago but I took these on 27th July 2008. Perhaps the last time I recall cracking weather!

I see sunsets like that all the time here and I'm afraid I get a bit blase about them  (for those that don't know, I live at Beachmenach)

I remember being on a boat on Lake Geneva one evening and the captain saying what a lovely sunset it was and I thought eh ?!? - that's a pish sunset - you should see the ones I see at home :D

In fact we have a Spanish exchange student staying with us at the moment and she was taking photos of the sunset. She deleted one or two from her camera and when asked why, she replied that her parents wouldn't believe that they were real

i find the same living on kintyre, Malky, that i have become blase about some of the beauty around us. Just driving from carradale to town the views can be breathtaking if we stop long enough to look. i really enjoy having a friend to visit who hasnt seen it before, it makes me look properly again at the beauty around us.
Surely our souls must be a wee bit more at peace than the ones of a person living in a city, being surrounded by this much awe inspiring nature must sink in somehow.
Anyway time to exit my state of away with the fairyiness and get back to the grindstone x
