Hi SCD I use a Olympus E410 Digital SLR With a Wide angle and a telephoto lens, Great camera loads of settings and modes to play with.
The range of lenses are are limited with only Olympus and Sigma making lenses in the 4/3rds fitment compared to Canon and Nikon which have a greater range on the market.
I am happy with my camera and with the use of some filters and a good photo editing software the photos this camera take are amazing.
The E450 is the latest entry model with some more settings, Would recomend the twin lens kit like the one which i have.
Hope this will help JFM.

Read my original post after reading the one by Numberplease, and decided it best to delete.
Also read the one by SCD and now realise he was referring to a small camera.

I`m not an expert at photography, but my little Panasonic Lumix does me just fine.

I use Lumix DMC-TZ1 as well, great 10x zoom, fits in (medium size) pocket, always handy for those quick snaps.... excellent images.

I have the Olympus 1050 and it is great, waterproof and shock resistant, I've used it surfing and snowboarding with no problems.
I'll add a couple of photos when I have time!
