I might be wrong (probably) but is the photo not looking towards Glasgow in which case it would be east and then must be a sunrise rather than sunset.

It is its a lovely photo.

Whatever it is its a lovely photo.

The last time i saw a sunset like that, i had left my camera in the hotel :( . Lovely shot.

The photo is taken from the Springfield Quay side of the river just around the Kingston bridge looking down river as you will see in my daylight pic.
I think Govangirl will confirm that.

Obvious from the daytime picture that it is looking west.

I really should look a bit closer before posting such nonsense

The River Clyde is almost unrecognisable at that area over the last couple of decades. (new buildings, squinty bridge etc,)

I am also at a loss sometimes as to where I am in Glasgow as it changes so much. The photo was taken outside Frankie and Benny's. I was having a hot flush and had to go outside when I thought the scene before me was beautiful. I did take this other one but it's not very good.

Actually, I'm never at a loss as to where I am generally but after reading John A's post I really did have to think for a moment if I was outside the restaurant following two margaritas watching the sun RISE!!!!!!! :<>
