Those of us who prefer our Saturday mornings for our own wee league were deprived of it on Saturday 14th when the held over Famous Grouse Pairs was played on possibly the best day of the season. After a marathon 43 ends the winners were Alistair Nicolson and Brian Leishman who saw off the challenge of John McNaughton and John Mason. Incidentally, both skips are Saturday morning leaguers, with Alistair one of the four founding members in the 1970's (or earlier). It was good to see the big man back in winning form after many years in the wilderness.
