Kid’s outdoor football season to start

Campbeltown and District Juvenile Football Association’s outdoor football season will commence on Monday 16th April 2012 at the Meadows Millennium Playing Field. Primary 1 to 7 age groups will start at 6pm for 1 hour with secondary school (S1-S4(new S5)) starting 30 minutes later and finishing at 8pm. The focus of the Monday night sessions are purely to play football with 4 aside and 7 aside games organised. It’s an ideal time to introduce children of Primary One age group to games of football as the organisers will be able to split the groups based on age with the Meadows offering the ideal facility to host the various age groups. The season runs from April until October (except School summer holidays) and annual registration is £20 per child.

The Association wish to encourage any boy or girl in these age groups with an interest in playing football in Kintyre to come along and take part. Parents are reminded that their children should arrive 10 minutes before the session starts - this will help the coaches prepare.

Juvenile Football Association keen to target secondary school age football

Campbeltown and District Juvenile Football Association are keen to encourage children of Secondary School years S1 – S4 (new S5) along to the new outdoor season starting this Monday with a view to starting a league for this age group. If enough numbers show up the Association plan to set-up 7 aside sides to encourage competitive football at this level once again in South Kintyre. The new season starts on Monday 16th April 2012 on the Meadows Playing Field and will run from 6.30 to 8.00pm

Kid’s football trip to Lochgilphead

Campbeltown and District Juvenile Football Association have organised a trip to Lochgilphead on Saturday 21st April 2012 for Primary 2 to 7 age groups (born in 2005 to 2000) following recent discussions with Lochgilphead Soccer Centre who are also keen to arrange regular exchanges with football in Campbeltown. Details of the trip will be handed out to kids on Monday 16th when the outdoor season starts on the Meadows.
