SOUTHEND CHAMPIONS

Postby TYM » Thu Aug 10, 2006 4:12 pm

Unfancied Southend last night clinched the KAFL with a 100% record. I wonder what the odds would have been at the start of the summer on this outcome?

It will be no surprise if the Pupils and Boys take an interest in some of the young players who "shone" in the Southend team this season. There may have been some disappointing aspects to the KAFL this summer but the emergence of some hitherto unknown talented players is undoubtedly a huge positive and hopefully will benefit Kintyre football in the years to come.

The McIntyre boy couldnae shine if they sprayed him silver and surrounded him with six foot mirrors and sat him in the middle of the Sahara :D (IMHO)

Sorry--should have said earlier--well done Southend. Watched the first half-hour last night and they were well worth their 3-0 lead at that time

Rab - the boys I had in mind have not actually played for Hector. If you want to know the ones I was referring to then let me know and I will send you a PM
