Well, how did the game go.....hoot wuz the score?
Pupils up or Pupils doon.
I could have gone to the game yesterday but after the fuss made by some about "big game hunters" and folk turning up only for the important matches.....must say, I did not feel I would have been made welcome at Kintyre Park.
As a long time supporter and ex player it gives me no pleasure to say this.
Still wish them nothing other than success though.
And by the way, my last game for the Pupils was the guy playing in the Scottish Amatuer Cup Final's first!

Do you mean the first time they ever entered the Scottish Cup? When was that
Surprised to hear your comments about 'big game hunters' etc - didn't think that came into play in Amateur football!

I'm new to this!!

could not quite figure out where the apostrophe should go! will need to read Eat, Shoots and Leaves again!
It would have read better if I had just said....
" Paul McQuirter's first game for the Pupils was my last"
A certain gentleman of my acquaintance got quite heated and angry the week after the Pupils' big cup tie about the big game hunters. I would have thought that the more locals cheering on the team the better. More money too.
Hope they beat St Pats whenever the game is played.

I just hope it could be held off this weekend, there's a national game on. I enjoy going to Kintyre park to watch the pupils it's usually a good game.

Oban lost 1-0 at the weekend so St Pats are the champions again this year.
Good news perhaps for the Pupils who now have to beat St Pats to remain in the Premier.
I'm told the game will be this Wednesday? Anyone confirm?

Not good news I don't think, now Oban will "lie" down against Kings Park who need to get less than two points from two games, which are against St pats and Oban.

It's unlikely Oban will be playing KPR.
King's Park were told to go up there on a Sunday and refused, so it's likely (but not definite) that Saints will be given the points. And King's Park have already played St Pat's and lost.
I've heard that the Pupils v St Pat's game is on Friday night but I don't know if that's definite.

Almost definitely, unless the league do something bizarre and let King's Park play their game against Oban, but I would think that's unlikely.
I wouldn't be surprised if St Pat's don't send down their strongest team either. It's a long way to travel for what will be a meaningless game for them.

i can confirm that kings park rangers lose the points for the game to oban saints that they never showed up for. they also recieved a £100 fine. pupils play this friday (June 3rd) against st. pats with the kick off time scheduled as 7pm at kintyre park. all should turn up and get behind the pupils who need nothing less than a win to keep their premier league status. should be a good one!!

Yes - should get a good crowd up for this one and lets hope the Pupils get the win.
Strange how football swings from one season to the other - the very same fxiture last year determined the league winners.
See you there!
