I was driving past Meadows last night when the games were on...stopped for a wee look.....as you do

Seemed to me that the team playing against Hector's outfit, that I assumed was C/town Boys Youth, only had EIGHT  men! how come they managed to win 3-1?

Maybe my 2 min drive by and 1 min stop, before getting moved on by a boy racer in BOOM BOOM BOOM wee rud car, was not enough time to take it all in.........

You need to get new glasses.

The young Boys team were playing on the pitch nearest The Meadows Farm and lost 4-2 as posted before. The were against the Milanos who certainly had 11 players.

On the next pitch was the Meadows vs The Vets and both teams had 11 players - in fact 15!

You coming along on Friday night to support the Soooothend...

Apparently Milanos started the game with 11, but finished with less due to a couploe of Boys leaving for nightshift and one getting injured.

That's correct. 2-1 to the Milanos at half time when they had 11 then they finished the game with 8. It was a bit mix and match for us Young Boys though as Hector was giving everyone a run otherwise we should have capitalised in the final twenty minutes. We just didn't finish the chances. Anyway only a friendly bring on the mighty Southend!

Davie, the Soccer Centre apparently have 'The Meadows' booked tonight but Tina reckons there will be a pitch available.

I'll pm you about another pitch matter

There is a pitch booked but the far away pitch (near M&R motors) is not used by us so that should be available.

Damn I was wanting a game as well.

Ended up a bounce game as Southend couldn't get their team together - working...

Anyway, does anyone know how Darren Kelly is? He was taken to hospital and the last I heard was he was going for an xray as they suspected he had a broken ankle?

Unfortunately Darren suffered snapped tendons, torn ligaments and a broken bone and will not play in the league at all.

Real sickner considering Darren has been one of the ones involved from the start in getting the league up and running....

Get well soon Darren!
