Boys v Aikenhead Thistle

Postby Ranald » Fri May 16, 2008 8:53 pm

Campbeltown Boys play Aikenhead Thistle tomorrow at Meadows in the last game of the season for both teams. 2.30pm kick off.

Boys need to win to have any chance of getting off the bottom of the table and Aikenhead need 3 points to clinch the title. The SAFL president and match secretary are making the long journey to Campbeltown to present the league trophy, obviously under the impression that the win is guaranteed.

What was it Kevin Keegan said about loving it?
Can you blame the man for going out of his mind temporarily?

As an auld captain of the Boys--I don't ever remember being presented with a league trophy on the park. I know that this will lead to obvious ripostes of "that's cos ye didnae win any" but we did. And we had to make the journey to the SAFL AGM tae pick it up.

I will be up tomorrow and I hope that the Boys get a win. As Ranald says "I would love it.........."

I believe The Pupils lost 1-0 and The Boys lost 8-0.

As for the Amateur League:

Whisky Macs 2 Ardrishaig 1
Campbeltown United 3 Southend 1
Carradale 7 Kinloch 2

Don't know the result of Lochgilphead Wanderers and Davaar
