Congratulations to Tarbert AFC who won 2-1 at home today against Shawlands FPs to clinch the Scottish Amateur Football League Division One. With the scoreline 1-1 at half time the Dookers made it 2-1 mid way through the half with a header from Dougie Guy and managed to hold on to win the 1st Division. (well done HKP 8) )

More photos to follow but here is one of the team at the end with the trophy. Well done to everyone associated with the club. 8)

Well done to everyone at Tarbert - hopefully see you a couple of times next season!
Can you blame the man for going out of his mind temporarily?

Tarbert clinch 1st Division Title

Tarbert AFC now have the opportunity to move into the Premier Leagues of the Scottish Amateur Football League after a 2-1 win win against Shawlands AFC saw them clinch the first division title for the first time in twenty-five years of competitive SAFL football.

James "Coco" Prentice opened the scoring for the Kintyre side which saw the evenly tested first half finish 1-1. However, it was a goal from player manager Douglas Guy that clinched the title mid way through the second half. A towering leap saw Guy out jump the Shawlands keeper to score the midfielder's 11th goal of the season.

To the delight of his team and a healthy local crowd, Captain Craig Martin raised the oldest trophy in Scottish Amateur Football.

Well done to everyone involved with Tarbert AFC and we hope to see you down in Campbeltown next season! 8)
