As some of you may already know, our forum member and friend Ionnsaigh (Mick Donoghue) passed away on Wednesday morning. His health has failed over the last few years and in recent months he deteriorated to such an extent that he had periods in a hospice. Just over a week ago his family took him home, where he spent his final days and passed peacefully with his loved ones around him. His funeral will be held on Wednesday 24th July at 2.15pm at Lambhill (Glasgow) Crematorium. Afterwards there will be a get together at Maryhill Juniors FC. Anyone who wishes to pay their respects is welcome to attend.

Yesterday’s celebration of Micks life was emotional but very fitting.

Really sorry to hear this FoD, I often wondered about Ionnsaigh - he was active member of the forum up until a few years ago (like many of us!).

I actually met him by chance a number of years ago in the Ceann Loch Diner a number of years ago. I was sitting at the next table to him and got chatting and he mentioned the Kintyre Forum and how he posts on it etc - was quite funny but had a nice yarn with him.

Lovely tribute playing Mull of Kintyre at the celebration of Mick's life and thanks for sharing - appreciated.

Thoughts with you and all of Mick's family and friends.
